Leadership Luncheon

These luncheons will serve as opportunities for pastors, staff and lay leaders of churches and ministry partners to engage in dialogue for furthering the unity of Christ's Church in West Michigan.  Over the course of four luncheons, meeting at different locations across the region, we will hear stories and testimonies from individuals who have experienced God's work of reconciliation.  We will also provide opportunity for and facilitate meaningful conversations as we listen to each other's stories around the tables.  By fostering relationships of trust between leaders from different backgrounds, we hope to grow in our awareness of, and sensitivity to, each other's experiences and build solidarity with one another in Christ.  Our hope is that this will then extend into our congregations.

Talking Points Conference

Grand Rapids Theological Seminary is hosting a series of conferences and luncheons in 2018-2019 on the centrality of justice and unity in the church. Through biblically, historically, and practically grounded conversations, each conference will explore the biblical theology of justice and unity as inherent to the gospel, give voice to the ways our communities suffer due to injustice, discern how the gospel calls us to respond and facilitate restorative relationships between leaders from different cultural contexts. We invite you to join us in this conversation.
